The Cov restaurant franchise recently expanded from its flagship location in Wayzata, adding an 8,000 sf location in the Galleria of Edina. Keeping to their theme of “American cuisine and Nantucket atmosphere” proved to be quite challenge.
Putting this project together was truly a team effort. Involved in the process were Zeeman Construction, The Box Group, Shea Architects and Interior designer Jennifer Cashman. Through cafeful consideration, the team settled on tables of White Carrara Marble, a bar top of White Macaubas Quartzite and some Silver Pearl Granite in a satin finish for some decorative elements. Filling a space this large can present challenges, not to overwhelm the eye while at the same time completing the design – but the finished product takes you straight to the beaches and white picket fences of Martha’s Vineyard and lighthouses and cranberry bogs of Cape Cod.
